A NZ$30 charge applies for this service.

CHRISTCHURCH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT ARRIVALS
Please note the reservation number on this voucher and quote this with all correspondence. If you have not already, please email us your Airline flight arrival details. As you enter the arrivals area you will see a number of phones; from any of these please call the call free number provided on confirmation. We are located just 5 minutes from the airport terminal and will come through and pick you up. If you are delayed and are able to, please advise us.

Please join the rental agent in the Baggage Claim area, the agent will be waiting for you holding our Welcome Board with your name printed on it. Your car will be parking outside - clean, full of fuel and ready for you to enjoy.

Airport Drop Off
When you pick up your car, we will provide you with printed instructions showing you where to park on drop off.

If you are staying at accommodation close to the Airport a representative will collect you and bring you to the depot to uplift your rental vehicle. This should be arranged prior to the day of your collection.

The Omega representative will advise you of the drop off procedure upon initial collection of your vehicle, however, there is a shuttle available to drop you back at the airport during office hours throughout the day.

The vehicle will be left at the Christchurch Airport Car Park No 2 situated at the end of the international terminal with the keys behind the front number plate. The documents will be in an envelope (that has your name in bold) on the dashboard. There is a small parking charge to pay on exiting the car park, approximately $3 per hour to a maximum of $25.

Please contact our Christchurch Depot on the day of collection so that they can give you the registration number and vehicle details. Should you be returning after normal office hours, you will need to leave your vehicle in the 4 level carpark building situated in front of the Christchurch Airport terminal with the keys, parking entrance ticket and NZ$5.00 per hour to a maximum of NZ$25.00 for overnight parking in the glove-box and secure the vehicle. If you are unable to park within the carpark building please call Omega and leave a message explaining where the car is parked in the (open-air) Main Airport Carpark.

Christchurch Airport Pick Ups
Please ensure you have provided all flight arrival details to us prior to departure. Our depot is approximately 10 minutes from the airport - please call us on the number provided upon your arrival into the Airport and a representative will be despatched to pick you up.

Unfortunately we do not offer drop offs to the city centre, but we will call a taxi for you to take you to your accommodation.

Christchurch After Hours Pick Ups
We are able to offer you an after hours collection from our Christchurch Airport branch. The booking will have to be prepaid and the vehicle will be left in our branch car park with a lock box attached containing your keys and contract. The fee for this service is $30.00. You will also need to forward your details for the contract, including your address, telephone number and drivers license details (we need to sight a copy of all drivers licenses) for each driver. You can send these to us either by scanning the licenses and emailing it to us or by faxing it to us. Once our branch have sighted your driver's license they will send you an email with details of how to collect your vehicle on arrival at Christchurch Airport.

Christchurch After Hours Drop Offs
You can return the vehicle after hours to our Christchurch Airport branch . You will need to make your own way from our branch to the Airport (approx. 10 mins drive). Please ensure you park the car in our car park and drop the keys off in the drop off box located to the far left of the Coca-Cola machine at the front entrance.

A NZ$30 charge applies for this service. For all after hours returns, you need to return the car to the Russley Hotel and leave the keys at reception. The Russley Hotel transfers every 15mins back to the Airport. A NZ$30 charge applies for this service.

Christchurch Domestic Airport - Pick up Procedures - After Hours

If you are arriving outside of your standard airport business hours we will have contacted you to complete a G1 form. This form enables us to pre sign your rental agreement and leave the vehicle at the airport for you. On arrival at Christchurch airport you will need to walk out of the terminal building and follow the road around to the left. You car and keys will be at the Sudima Hotel which is located on the airport property about a 4 minute walk from the terminal.

Airport Transfers and Vehicle Delivery
Wendekreisen are not based at the airport but do offer a complimentary transfer between airports and our depots.

Please ensure that we have your flight arrival details prior to collection. After your arrival at Christchurch Airport, please call us to arrange collection on free phone 0508 109 328 and select option 2. Please await our representative in front of the terminal or your hotel. Should no one be available, please take a taxi to our depot. The cost of approximately NZD20.00 will be refunded to you if a receipt is provided.   

After Hours
There is a charge of NZD60.00 for all after hours vehicle collections. After hours vehicle collections are not available after 10.00pm and before 5.00am.  Customers are advised to arrange for accommodation before and after travelling in New Zealand.

Drop Off Procedure
You will need to drop the vehicle off to our physical depots if dropping off to Christchurch or Auckland. You will then be shuttled to the airport or local hotels (please arrange this directly with the supplier).

Important Notice:   We do NOT recommend vehicle collections immediately after long-haul flights. Wendekreisen advises that a minimum of 8hours rest is recommended to ensure safe travels. Please also note that afternoon collections may also face significant traffic congestion.

You will then be taken to our Airport Depot, 5 minutes away, where you will complete the documentation and uplift your vehicle.

If you are staying at accommodation close to the Airport a representative will collect you and bring you to the depot to uplift your rental vehicle. This should be arranged prior to the day of your collection.

The Big Value representative will advise you of the drop off procedure upon initial collection of your vehicle, however, there is a shuttle available to drop you back at the airport during office hours throughout the day.

VEHICLE PICK UP AND DROP OFF OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS (5.01pm - 7.29am)
If you are arriving outside our normal office hours, we will need to send you a copy of the rental contract. Please email Big Value (details will be provided on confirmation) to advise us of a fax number that we can send this to, alternatively if you prefer we can e-mail a scanned rental contract for you to sign and return back to us. The vehicle will be left at the Christchurch Airport Car Park No 2 situated at the end of the international terminal with the keys behind the front number plate. The documents will be in an envelope (that has your name in bold) on the dashboard. There is a small parking charge to pay on exiting the car park, approximately $3 per hour to a maximum of $25.

Please contact our Christchurch Depot (details will be provided on confirmation) on the day of collection so that they can give you the registration number and vehicle details. Should you be returning after normal office hours, you will need to leave your vehicle in the 4 level carpark building situated in front of the Christchurch Airport terminal with the keys, parking entrance ticket and NZ$5.00 per hour to a maximum of NZ$25.00 for overnight parking in the glove-box and secure the vehicle. If you are unable to park within the carpark building please call Big Value and leave a message explaining where the car is parked in the (open-air) Main Airport Carpark.

VEHICLE PICK UP AND DROP OFF WITHIN OFFICE HOURS ( 8.00am - 5.00pm)
Runaway offers free transfers to and from the airport terminals in christchurch only and from city hotels. For our central city picks up we have set pick up times, Mon - Fri 08:00am, 10:00am, 12:00pm and 14:00pm. Sat - Sun 10:00am, 12:00pm and 14:00pm
On arrival at Christchurch Airport please call us on the free phone boards at Visitors Information or call the freephone number provided on confirmation of your vehicle. If you require a hotel pick up please arrange this at time of booking. The branch is 2km from the terminal.

VEHICLE PICK UP AND DROP OFF OUTSIDE OFFICE HOURS (5.00pm - 8.00am)
Late pickups are available on request. You must complete a pre-registration form and this needs to be faxed to us at least 48hrs prior to dispatch. The car will be at the Office (791 Wairakei Rd) which is approximately 3 minutes drive from the terminal. On arrival at Christchurch Airport, please make your way to the branch via taxi (expect to pay $15 or so). Once at our branch you will find lockable key boxes on the right hand side of our building - a list to the left hand side will have the surname of the reservation and box number. To open the lock you will need the last four digits of your reservation number e.g if your number is AKL-212400, 2400 would be the code used to access your vehicle keys. A NZ$30 charge applies for this service.

Christchurch Airport Pick Ups
Please ensure you have provided all flight arrival details to us prior to departure. Our depot is approximately 10 minutes from the airport - please call us on the number provided upon your arrival into the Airport and a representative will be despatched to pick you up.

Unfortunately we do not offer drop offs to the city centre, but we will call a taxi for you to take you to your accommodation.

Christchurch After Hours Pick Ups
We are able to offer you an after hours collection from our Christchurch Airport branch. The booking will have to be prepaid and the vehicle will be left in our branch car park with a lock box attached containing your keys and contract. The fee for this service is $30.00. You will also need to forward your details for the contract, including your address, telephone number and drivers license details (we need to sight a copy of all drivers licenses) for each driver. You can send these to us either by scanning the licenses and emailing it to us or by faxing it to us. Once our branch have sighted your driver's license they will send you an email with details of how to collect your vehicle on arrival at Christchurch Airport.

Christchurch After Hours Drop Offs
You can return the vehicle after hours to our Christchurch Airport branch . You will need to make your own way from our branch to the Airport (approx. 10 mins drive). Please ensure you park the car in our car park and drop the keys off in the drop off box located to the far left of the Coca-Cola machine at the front entrance.

Europcar is now on airport at the International Terminal. The terminal is approximately 150 metres walking distrance from the domestic terminal and can be accessed via the internal walk way. Customers that have travelled on domestic flights will also be able to collect  a vehicle from the terminal.

You will need to call us (to arrange where to meet you) when you collect your luggage. Please call us from the FREEPHONES provided which are located beside the luggage carousels. We monitor the progress of your flight on the internet and endeavor to meet you within 10 minutes of your call.

 Christchurch International Airport - Pick up Procedures - After Hours
If you are arriving outside of your standard airport business hours we will have contacted you to complete a G1 form. This form enables us to pre sign your rental agreement and leave the vehicle at the airport for you. On arrival at Christchurch airport you will need to walk out of the terminal building and follow the road around to the left. You car and keys will be at the Sudima Hotel which is located on the airport property about a 4 minute walk from the terminal.

Airport Transfers and Vehicle Delivery
Wendekreisen are not based at the airport but do offer a complimentary transfer between airports and our depots.

Please ensure that we have your flight arrival details prior to collection. After your arrival at Christchurch Airport, please call us to arrange collection on the free phone number provided on confirmation. Please await our representative in front of the terminal or your hotel. Should no one be available, please take a taxi to our depot. The cost of approximately NZD20.00 will be refunded to you if a receipt is provided.   

After Hours
There is a charge of NZD60.00 for all after hours vehicle collections. After hours vehicle collections are not available after 10.00pm and before 5.00am.  Customers are advised to arrange for accommodation before and after travelling in New Zealand.

Drop Off Procedure
You will need to drop the vehicle off to our physical depots if dropping off to Christchurch or Auckland. You will then be shuttled to the airport or local hotels (please arrange this directly with the supplier).

Important Notice:   We do NOT recommend vehicle collections immediately after long-haul flights. Wendekreisen advises that a minimum of 8hours rest is recommended to ensure safe travels. Please also note that afternoon collections may also face significant traffic congestion.

Once you are ready to pick-up the vehicle, PLEASE CALL FREE TO ARRANGE A COLLECTION POINT AT THE AIRPORT OR CHRISTCHURCH HOTEL AS SOON AS PRACTICAL TO RECONFIRM ANY ARRANGMENTS. From the airport you will be shuttled to the Depot where we will provide you with copies of the rental contract and supply a full introduction to the vehicle. We will also advise you of the return procedures for the location you are returning to at the completion of your contract. Vehicles must be picked up during office hours. After hour pick ups may be possible but are at the discretion of Discover NZ Cars and may also come with an extra fee

Drop Off Instructions
Vehicles must be dropped off between 8am and 4.30pm or by arrangement.

Transfers
For customers arriving and departing from Auckland, Christchurch or Nelson, a complimentary transfer is available to or from your accommodation inside the CBD or the airport on the day of pick-up and drop-off of the vehicle. This service is available between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm. (or outside of these times by prior arrangement) The hirer must advise us of pick up and drop off times one week before collection to be guaranteed the transfer at a certain time.
